In recent years, the Bulgarian healthcare system is characterized by numerous problems, difficulties and weaknesses. The ongoing “Debate on Healthcare” in the country has already pointed a whole complex of political, financial, organizational and managerial determinants of the current situation. It also foreshadows an obvious conclusion: one of the main problems of the healthcare system is the lack of standardized, valuable information for evaluations, results and thorough analysis.
