The first in the world professional mixed choir of blind “Akad. Petko Staynov” will be on tour in Austria from Nov 1st – 7th, 2018.“Tour of the light” is meant as a celebration of the Bulgarian Day of Awakening and notes the 83 anniversary of the establishment of the choir of blind.
The choir will have 4 concerts (02.11, 03.11, 06.11, and 07.11) and will participate in the liturgy of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church (04.11). On November 1st the Bulgarian Cultural Institute Vienna “Haus Wittgenstein” will open a complementary exhibition on the life and work of Petko Staynov. Find the program here.
The tour is organized by the Austrian association for culture and art The purple Swan in cooperation with Synergia Foundation from Bulgaria. Simbula is partner of the event and by its initiatives actively strives for improving the opportunities for professional development and career of blind and visually impaired.
